Our Victories for Liberty: The Alliance Defending Freedom

We, the Alliance Defending Freedom, have achieved many victories in defending
rights related to life, speech, religion, and the family. Many of our victories as the Alliance Defending
Freedom were newsworthy
enough that you may have heard of them.

The Right to Life

Protecting the Unborn

Alliance Defending Freedom was involved with the Dobbs case in which the U.S. Supreme
Court famously overturned Roe v. Wade as early as assisting with drafting Mississippi’s
Gestational Age Act and as late as defending Mississippi law in the highest
court of the land.

Protecting Access to Life-Saving Medical Care

We have represented clients like Jesse Ramirez and his sister. After Jesse fell
victim to a traffic accident that left him comatose, we fought alongside his
sister to keep him on life support.

The Right to Free, Non-Compelled Speech

When a group of Kellogg Community College students were arrested for alleged
trespassing after handing out pocket-sized copies of the U.S. Constitution, we
took up the case to prevent them from being legally punished for exercising
their First Amendment Rights

Similarly, when student Chike Uzuegbunam was punished for speaking of his faith at Georgia
Gwinnet College, we challenged the school policies that allowed for such a
thing. We took the challenges to the Supreme Court, and given that the school
was allowing government officials to punish Uzuegbunam for exercising his First
Amendment rights, the Supreme Court sided with our client.

We have also challenged cases of compelled speech, such as a case where California
law compelled pro-life pregnancy centers to provide its patients with
information on how to get abortions.

These are merely highlights of our work as the Alliance Defending Freedom in fighting
for liberty. Outside the courts, we also work across the country to educate the
youth on important issues, and internationally to prevent religious genocide. See

information.
