Kelcy Warren Champions West Dallas Youth Academy Through Rangers Partnership
Since 2018, Kelcy Warren has been a consistent supporter of the West Dallas Youth Academy, a program that operates through a partnership between Energy Transfer and Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers. The collaboration channels resources from the pipeline industry into youth development in one of Dallas’s historically underserved communities.
A Pattern of Community Investment
The Youth Academy partnership is one piece of a broader philanthropic approach that Warren has pursued over the course of his career. Kelcy Warren gives regularly to organizations focused on children, including the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center and the March of Dimes. He also supports the MD Anderson Cancer Center and the Bush Foundation.
Warren’s most publicly visible act of civic investment in Dallas is Klyde Warren Park, the 5.2-acre green space built over a freeway that connects the city’s uptown and downtown districts. His initial $10 million gift in 2012 was key to the park’s creation, and a $20 million follow-on donation helped expand its footprint and programming.

Kelcy Warren has received honors from Hart Energy, the Texas Oil and Gas Association, SMU Cox’s Maguire Energy Institute, and D CEO Magazine. He holds membership in the Texas Business Hall of Fame, the Ammys Hall of Fame, and the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans.
He was also named a 2020 Laureate in the Dallas Business Hall of Fame, an honor from Junior Achievement of Dallas.
